BLUE MOUNTAIN (Gajender Singh) was slow to begin.

Soon after jumping out of the gates COLONEL BOOGEY (Md Imran) and ARISEN STAR (Kishore Kadam) were inconvenienced when  SHES LIKE THE WIND (App B Srinivas Rao) jumped awkwardly ‘inwards’.

Immediately after running of the race an enquiry was held with particular reference to the fall of b h TOTALIZE (App Zarar Alam) and the unseating of Jockey Gajender Singh from his mount BLUE MOUNTAIN, both the incidents happened approaching the 800 metres.  At the conclusion of the enquiry the Stipendiary Stewards being satisfied that the fall of b h TOTALIZE was accidental as no blame could be attached to any jockey and the unseating of Jockey Gajender Singh from his mount BLUE MOUNTAIN was the consequence of the jockey being unbalanced when taking evasive action to prevent his mount from running into the fallen TOTALIZE, ordered the hoisting of ‘All Clear’ signal.  App Zarar Alam was declared medically unfit to continue with his riding engagements for the day.

The Veterinary Officer reported that TOTALIZE (App Zarar Alam) was put down on humanitarian grounds as it suffered from a broken left shoulder.
