MIYARSPRINCESS (R Ravi) was extremely fractious inside the Starting Gates and injured its rider. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s Order.

Trainer Mr. Dinesh Pujar was questioned regarding the performance of his charge, TUSKER (Arshad Alam). He stated that (a) he had instructed the rider to be alert at the Start, take a good position after jumping out and ride out in the straight; (b) the horse was regular in work and, therefore, he had fancied it to win as it had won its previous start handsomely; (c) in the above Race, it was running with a lower weight and as such, he had also expected it to win; (d) however, despite the best efforts of the jockey it could only finish 5th also added he would give it adequate gate practice and enough time before he accepts with it again. His explanations were noted.

LOTUS POND (S Mubarak) sustained cut on right stifle.

TUSKER (Arshad Alam) sustained small injuries on both hind fetlocks.
