Racing Incidents

For failing to produce the registered colours of the owner in respect of his charge JASSI’S STAR, Tr. C Gleich was fined a sum of Rs. 325/-.  Subsequently ‘ALL BLACK’ emergency colours were permitted to be used.

SERGEANT MAJOR (Kishore Kadam) and KNIGHT OF ROMANCE (Nelson Maseyk) were fractious while being stalled.

Soon after the start SUNSHINE DANCER (C Alford) swerved ‘outwards’ and as the jockey regained its control the gelding shifted ‘inwards’ thereby inconveniencing BLACK CAVIOUR (Amandeep Singh).  Tr.  Vijay Singh was informed to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.

Approaching the distance post SUNSHINE DANCER (C Alford) was momentarily inconvenienced when ABARTH (Afzal Khan) under pressure shifted ‘outwards’.   Jockey Afzal Khan was shown the CCTV replay of the race and advised to report to Jockey Coach Mr. P Alford for corrective measures.

Jockey Afzal Khan, the rider of ABARTH, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip (1st offence).

The Veterinary Officer reported that BOLD DESIRE returned bleeding from both nostrils.  Tr. R W Alford was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Sr. Veterinary Officer.
