TRIPPLE EIGHT (Ch.K. Chary) jumped out slowly losing about 1 or 2 lengths.

Explanation of Jockey S. Shiva Kumar (REGAL GROOM) in the presence of Trainer M. Satyanarayana that his instructions were to go to the front or sit close 3rd or 4th which he tried to follow until entering the straight.  The Jockey further added that as his mount was tending to hangout from about the 800 mtrs until entering straight, as such he perforce had to travel wide until about the 400 mtrs, thereafter he had ridden out his mount to the best of his ability, noted.  Subsequent Veterinary report dated 15th October 2013 revealed that the gelding was trotting lame on his left hind.
