SERRA DURA (Md. Kareem) bolted on the way to the Starting Gate, dislodged the rider, ran rider-less and was found to have sustained deep injuries on left stifle. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's Orders. Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
