ch g RHINESTONE COWBOY, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on 28^th January, 2014 and found to be lame on right fore.  Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.  Tr. Sarfaraz Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until passed fit by the Veterinary Officer.

RISTRETTO (Shezad Khan) and STORMY PETREL (M F Ali Khan) were fractious while being stalled.

An objection was lodged by Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of PICK POCKET, placed 4^th by the Judge against Jockey Shezad Khan, the rider of RISTRETTO, placed 2^nd by the Judge on the grounds of “on entering the straight when my mount was getting into its rhythm Jockey Shezad Khan who was three off the inner fence kept on coming out on to me and badly hampered my mount, I had to stop riding completely which cost me a certain race”.  The Stewards after having interviewed Jockeys Imran Chisty and Shezad Khan resolved to over rule the objection and ordered that the Judge’s placings to remain unaltered.
