Racing Incidents

IRON LADY (Suraj Narredu) and LUCK LUCK LUCKY (Kishore Kadam) were slow to begin.

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of IRON LADY, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip (1st offence).

The Veterinary Officer reported that JAMAICAN returned with a cut injury on left hind.

Tr. Bharath Singh when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge IRON LADY as compared to its previous run in Race No. 193 stated that when he was queried in Race No. 193 regarding its poor performance he was unable to give any plausible explanation.  However, it was recorded in the Stipendiary Stewards report of the race that the jockey  had stated ‘after being denied a clear run the filly failed to improve in spite of his best efforts’.  He was now of the opinion that his charge had performed much better as it was not denied a clear run.  The Stipendiary Stewards while noting his explanation informed Tr. Bharath Singh that in future they would be keeping a watchful eye on the running of his charges.
