Racing Incidents

At the start, SAILOR (Amyn Merchant) took a fly jump.

Trainer Dallas Todywalla was questioned regarding the poor performance of MINT APPROACH. The instructions were to be in second position if possible, or to ride from the front. The Trainer stated that soon after the start, SET TO FLY and JANIS JAY went to the front and then the pace slowed down, whereby his filly became keen and then raced from the front. In his opinion, MINT APPROACH remained keen as CELTIC KING raced on her outside, whereby the filly did not get a chance to be settled. To another question, he stated that Blinkers were put this time on a recommendation from Jockey A.Sandesh. As regards the future plan for the filly, the Trainer stated that he may run her over a shorter trip as the distance of a mile is probably turning out to be long for her. The explanation was noted for future reference.

After the race, MINT APPROACH was found to be sound.
