CHALA JA BACHHA (N S Parmar) was fractious while being stalled.

In the concluding stages of the race SMOOTH AS SILK (App B Nikhil) shifted violently ‘outwards’ when placed under pressure and made contact with SANTOS (Dashrath Singh) making progress on its outside. At a subsequent enquiry App B Nikhil was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2500/- for failing to make adequate effort to keep his mount on a straight path. The apprentice was advised to report to Jockey Coach Mr. P Alford for guidance.

Tr Ms Arti Doctor when queried as to the instructions given to Jockey P Kamlesh(Gallop To Glory) stated that he was to position her charge wherever comfortable and to do his best thereafter. Jockey Kamlesh corroborated the instructions and stated that the gelding did not show initial speed and failed to respond to his urgings in the final stages of the race. The Stipendiary Stewards after reviewing the earlier running pattern of GALLOP TO GLORY decided to enquire further into its running in this race.
