Racing Incidents

SIDDHI (P.Trevor) reared up as the start was effected resulting in losing about 2 lengths at the start.

Trainer D.J.Surti and Jockey Zameer Sayyed were questioned regarding running and riding of NIGELLA as the jockey was observed to have ridden in a feeble manner in the straight.  The Jockey’s plea that he had done his best was not accepted and considering that the trainer was satisfied with the jockey’s riding efforts, both the trainer and the jockey have been fined Rs.3,000/-each.

Jockey C.S.Jodha (GLORIOUS REGIME) when questioned, stated that his instructions were to be in 3rd/ 4th  position and to ride out in the straight.  He added that the gelding did not respond to his urgings and did not travel well throughout the race.

After the race, SIDDHI was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

After the race, HOME FACTOR and DIESEL DON were found to be sound.
