YOKUMOKU (Dashrath Singh) was fractious in its stall. EARNEST RULER (Sandeep Rajput) and STHENIOS (S Zervaan) were slow to begin. Jockey S Zervaan, the rider of STHENIOS, when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that his mount which was momentarily slow to begin made progress along the rails to be well positioned approaching the 400 metre marker thereafter in spite of his urgings his mount failed to excellerate. Tr. S S Habbu when questioned stated that he had instructed the rider to position his charge at the head of the field as the colt appears to run very well when so positioned. Further he was of the opinion that the colt’s slow start today could have been the reason of its dismal performance. The Stipendiary Stewards while noting their explanations, advised Tr. Habbu to keep his charge under observation and report ailment, if any. Jockey Md Islam, the rider of MILANO, reported loss of his whip passing the 100 meter marker. |
