UPTOWN GIRL was examined by the Veterinary Officer behind the starting stall and found to have sustained a cut injury on its right hind. Under the circumstances the filly was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. R V Gowli was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

Passing the distance post BOURNVILLE (Md Islam) travelling along the rails shifted ‘out’ under pressure with whip and made contact with LINEAGE (M F Ali Khan). At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Md. Islam was shown the CCTV replay of the race and severely reprimanded for failing to exercise adequate control over his mount.
