On arrival at the starting gate, it was noticed that RIDER ON THE STORM  had lost its left fore plate. As per the norms, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order.
 
After being stalled, ZARAR (App.Raghuveer Singh) played up in the stalls. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race. After being restalled, the gelding again played up and hooked its fore legs on the side bars. The gelding was again taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. and found to have a cut injury on the right fore pastern and was sore from the right fore leg. As such, ZARAR was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s Order. JOY OF LIFE (T.S.Jodha) played up in the stall and was not allowing the rider to settle. ASAHI  (Kishore Kadam) and BLUE FLAME (S.P.Ranjane) lost about 3 lengths each, at the start. Trainers Sangramsinh N.Joshi, S.S.Shah, Rehanullah Khan H.J.Antia have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to raxce. Also, ZARAR has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
 
GRAND DUKE (S.Zervan) planted and took no part in the race.  Since the gelding has a past record of similar behavior, Trainer A.M.Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.
 
App. Bhawani Singh (PASSION PRINCE) reported that his mount hanging in throughout the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been advised remedial measures.
 
SONG OF AFRICA (App. Parbat Singh) was observed to travel wide. He has been cautioned for failing to take corrective action.
 
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of ABBEY (Arshad Alam) and a report will be submitted shortly.

After the race,   it was observed that the lower incisor tooth of ABBEY was broken. JOY OF LIFE had a gum injury. PASSION PRINCE and DOUBLE DIAMOND were found to be sound.
