ch f FIRST WISH, an acceptor in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on 8th October, 2015 and found to be lame on right hind. Under the circumstances the filly was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. R W Alford was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

UPTOWN GIRL (Sk Zaffar Riaz) and POCKET QUEENS (A Ashhad Asbar) were fractious while being stalled.

Mr. Farley Rodrigues when afforded an opportunity to expla in the running of his charge b f FUND RAISER (App Zarar Alam) with particular reference to its start in the race, stated that the filly had never been slow off in her early outings and was disappointed that the filly stood flat footed as the start was give n thereby losing some ground. App Zarar Alam when queried stated that the filly took time to come out of the gates in spite of his efforts. The CCTV of the race was repeatedly viewed and t he Stipendiary Stewards while noting the explanation tendered by App Zarar Alam and trainer Mr. Rodrigues, advised the trainer not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

Jockey Sk Zaffar Riaz, the rider of UPTOWN GIRL, was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for the improper use of the whip on his mount during the final 400 metres of the race.
