Racing Incidents

As Jockey P Kamlesh was declared medically unfit to ride, Jockey Shailesh Shinde was substituted to ride BOLD LEGACY.

FREE ENERGY (B Mahesh) arrived late to the start thereby delaying the start of the race. Tr. Vijay Singh was advised to ensure that his charge arrives on time in future.

An enquiry was held immediately after the running of the race with particular reference to the fall of Jockey B Mahesh from his mount FREE ENERGY (drawn 4) as the start was given. At the conclusion of the enquiry it was established that the fall was accidental and no blame could be attached to anybody.

An objection was lodged by App Hindu Singh, the rider of KING KONG placed 3rd  by the Judge against App Jorawar Singh, the rider of GENTLE KNOWLEDGE placed 2nd by the Judge on the grounds of “taking my ground and causing interference in the straight for which I lost a certain 2nd place”. The Stewards after interviewing Apprentices Hindu Singh, Jorawar Singh, Tr. Raunak Banerji substituting for trainer Mr. Manvendra Singh, the Master of App Hindu Singh, and viewing the CCTV replay of the race decided to up hold the objection and ordered the revised placings as
under :-
BOLD LEGACY - 1st
KING KONG - 2nd
GENTLE KNOWLEDGE - 3rd
BULLET - 4th
ASTAIRE - 5th

Thereafter the ‘All Clear’ signal for the race was ordered to be hoisted.
