Racing Incidents

MEET THE LEGEND (A Ashhad Asbar) finished off the race detached from the field. Jockey A Ashhad Asbar when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that soon after jumping out of the gates his mount shied ‘inwards’ to the inner rails and thereafter was inclined to hang ‘in’ for some distance. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanation. The gelding was impounded for veterinary examination and on examination no ailment was noticed. Tr. Raunak Banerji was advised not to accept with his charge until it was capable of a better performance.
