Racing Incidents

BLAZING STEPS (Akshay Gaikwad) was restless in the gate and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
 
At the start, SPEEDO (App. Parbat Singh, dr.7) jumped inwards and made contact with NEW ENGLAND (J. E. Pereira, dr.6) who in turn shifted in and bumped SHAMANISM (R. Shelar, dr. 5).
 
At the start, PROMINENCE (S. J. Sunil, dr.2) jumped outwards thereby inconveniencing SUSSEX PRIDE (Shrikant Kamble, dr. 3) who was fractionally slow.
 
Soon after the start, SHINNING NOON (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in and went across ETERNAL DANCER (Shahrukh Khan). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned.
 
Approaching 300 metres, PROMINENCE (S. J. Sunil) shifted out thereby inconveniencing SUSSEX PRIDE (Shrikant Kamble).
 
Passing 200 metres, SPEEDO (App. Parbat Singh) who was racing between NEW ENGLAND (J. E. Pereira) and ROMANTIC WARRIOR (S. Sunil), was tightened for room and had to be steadied.
 
Jockey S. Sunil (ROMANTIC WARRIOR) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. However, since the same was used as a corrective measure, no action has been initiated.
 
After the race, SHAMANISM was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, ROMANTIC WARRIOR was observed to have a clip injury at the right hind fetlock. SHINNING NOON was found to be sound in trot.
