Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was fined Rs.10,000/- for the discrepancy in shoeing in respect of his charge HIGH VOLTAGE (Darshan R.N) (2nd infringement).
BLESSED ONE (K. Mukesh Kumar) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on right hind. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey Anjar Alam, the rider of SPONGE BOB was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing HIGH VOLTAGE (Darshan R.N) on his inside approaching 1200 Meters.
An enquiry is being held into the improved performance of WIND STRIKER, Trained by Azhar Ali as compared to its previous run in Race No. 200 of The Gadag Plate (Div–II), about 1100 Meters, Horses rated 15 to 35, when ridden by Jockey Jan'dhan Paswan it ran unplaced.
Jockey Jan'dhan Paswan, the rider of WIND STRIKER was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course during the closing stages of the race.
Trainer S. Ganapathy and Jockey Y. S. Srinath were questioned regarding running and riding of WONDER WOMAN in the above race. The Trainer stated that:
(a) His charge was injured badly in its previous start as such it had not run for a long period.
(b) It had worked well in the morning track work.
(c) He fancied it to only in place because of the training set back.
(d) He was surprised as to how it was running as a tote favourite.
(e) He also observed that his mount was hanging out from 500 Meters and the rider rode out fully but could only finish fourth.
The Jockey corroborated the statement of the trainer and added that WONDER WOMAN needs a hanging bit.
