Racing Incidents

BRAVESOFTHEBRAVE (K.V.Baskar) was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Trainer J.Sebastian was advised to get his charge certified fit by the Club’s Senior Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

STATELY EMPRESS (S.Kabdhar) returned bleeding after the race. Trainer R.Foley was advised to get his charge certified fit by the Club’s Senior Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Trainer Saddam Iqbal and Jockey Zulquar Nain were questioned regarding the running and riding of SUMMER SENSATION. The trainer reported that his instructions were to take a jump and sit third or fourth and do his best in the straight. Jockey Zulquar Nain when questioned confirmed the trainer’s instructions and stated that his horse was lugging in 50 meters after the start and the field had covered him whereby he dropped back.

Replay of the race was shown to both of them and it was pointed out that he had enough chance to take the lead or fit in good forward position.Not being satisfied with Jockey Zulquar Nain’s explanation he was fined a sum of Rs.3000 for failing to follow trainer’s instructions.
