Trainer Craig Marshall was questioned regarding the improved performance of CRONOS (P.Trevor) in this race as compared to his previous run in Race no.127 run on 14th January.
The trainer informed that on 14th January the track was soft and that did not suit the gelding and he noticed that after the run in the previous race his charge had not lost any weight. Further, he informed that the horse was working well and that he had fancied the horse on both the occasions.
The matter was reported to the Stewards who after due deliberation were of the view that some lenient action could be taken on this case and directed the Stipendiary Stewards to fine trainer Craig Marshall a sum of Rs.5000/- for improved performance and caution him for future.

After the race the Senior Veterinary officer reported that TEMUJIN (V.R.Jagadeesh) had burst his blood vessel. Trainer K.S.Mandanna was advised to get his charge certified fit by the Club’s Senior Veterinary officer before accepting with it again.
