Racing Incidents

b h THEO (Imran Chisty) was examined by the Veterinary Officer behind the starting gates and found to be lame on left fore. Under the circumstances the horse was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. Manvendra Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

SCORPION QUEEN (App Rupal Singh) arrived late to the start. Tr. Jasbir Singh was advised to ensure that his charge arrives on time in future.

Approaching the 900 metres PRANCING QUEEN (Ranidan Singh) stumbled due to the crowding of the field.

The Veterinary Officer reported that PRANCING QUEEN returned bleeding from both nostrils. Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

An enquiry was held immediately after the race with particular reference to the fall of Jockey Nikhil Naidu (SUMMERHILL) passing the 400 metre marker. At the conclusion of the enquiry it was established that the fall was accidental and no blame could be attached to any rider, hence the ‘All Clear’ signal was ordered to be hoisted. Jockey Nikhil Naidu was examined by the Medical Officer and declared medically unfit to ride.
