Racing Incidents

On arrival at the start, JIGAR (Amyn Merchant) and ZEEMO (App.K.Nazil) were examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. who certified them fit to race.
 
App. K. Nazil (ZEEMO) was observed to have used the whip prior to the horse been loaded despite the Starter directing him not to do so. After questioning, App.K.Nazil has been fined Rs.2,000/- for the improper use of the whip.
 
Soon after the start, GOLDEN TOWER (App. Aniket Karande, dr.4) leaned inwards on to PADMAKOSA (App.P.S.Kaviraj, dr.3) and was steadied.
 
Soon after the start, ZEEMO (App. K. Nazil, dr.5) shifted out under urgings and went across CECELIA (App.Niranjan S. Parmar, dr.6), causing the latter to stumble. After questioning, App.K.Nazil has been cautioned.
 
Passing 400 metres, ZEEMO (App. K. Nazil) shifted in and made contact with OUTSTANDING (C. S. Jodha). On being questioned after the race, App. K. Nazil stated that his mount hung in despite his efforts. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.
 
Jockey Hanumant Singh (MANDRAKE ) has been fined Rs.500/- for failing to wear the racing goggles.
 
After the race, MANDRAKE and ZEEMO were trotted and found to be sound.
