Racing Incidents
At the request of Trainer Vishal Gaikwad, NIGHT HUNT was examined at 1645 hours on 13/08/2019 and found to be sore by the left hind leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. After being stalled, CLARK KENT (S.J.Sunil) started lashing out. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. and found to have multiple injuries on the right hind hock, as such, he was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Further, the Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the gelding from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. CHOSEN ONE (C.S.Jodha) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start. At the start, ORION’S BELT (App.Raghuveer Singh, dr.2) jumped outwards and at the same time ARTICULATE (Santosh.G, dr.4) jumped inwards thereby tightening SILVER FLAMES (A.Sandesh, dr.3). Soon after the start, BONAFIDE (App.Gagandeep Mann) shifted in under urgings and went across ORION’S BELT (App.Raghuveer Singh) causing it to shift out, thereby starting a chain reaction, due to which SILVER FLAMES (A.Sandesh), ARTICULATE (Santosh.G), ROYAL ACE (Amyn Merchant) and CHARLES BRIDGE (App.Niranjan S.Parmar) were all forced outwards. After questioning, App.Gagandeep Mann has been fined Rs.2,000/-. Approaching 200 metres, AGRAMI (Prabhu Naidu) shifted out under urgings and went across ARTICULATE (Santosh G) who had to be steadied. Jockey Prabhu Naidu has been cautioned. After the race, ORION’S BELT was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. The Equine Hospital reported that CHOSEN ONE had right eye injury (sore). After the race, SILVER FLAMES was trotted and found to be sound.
