DELPHINA (P. Trevor) was examined at the Starting gates and was observed to be trotting lame on left hind due to back sprain, as such the mare has been permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds before coming under starter’s orders. Trainer M. Srinivas Reddy was advised to ensure that his charge is certified fit by the Club's Veterinary Officer before next accepting in a race.  Due to the above withdrawal, the Bookmakers’ and Fix Odds liability has been reduced by 12 paise in a rupee on all Win bets and 25 paise in a rupee on all Place bets.

Explanation of Trainer M. Srinivas Reddy with regard to inconsistent running of his charge ASHWA ARJUN (Abhay Singh) winner of this race, who finished off board in the previous runs that his charge in the previous races ran with the tougher bunch i.e. for horses 3 year old and upward as compared to the present race which being a weaker set for horses 5 years and upward and also 3 1/2 kgs allowance claiming Jockey in the saddle added to his charges advantage and went on to win the race. The Trainer further added that he had not fancied his charge and was available at longer odds was noted. The Trainer was however cautioned to ensure that his charges race more consistently in future.

Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar (KINGSWOOD) reported that his mount was hanging in, in the straight more so under pressure inspite of his best efforts. Trainer S.A. Shehzad Abbas was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race.
