Jockey Ankit Yadav, the rider of OCEAN DUNES was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

Trainer Mr. Darius R. Byramji and Jockey A.R. Pradeep were questioned as regards the poor performance of PROFOUND in the above race. The Jockey Stated that:

(a) His horse was very fractious inside the gates;
(b) His mount did not jump out smartly, was nervous and not striding out well for the first 50 Metres;
(c) As such he could not ride from forward position; and
(d) Thereafter, he settled his mount pulled it out in the straight and rode out hands and heels as it is a no whip race, but could only finish 6th.

While noting explanations, Trainer Mr. Darius R. Byramji added that he noticed his charge had bruises over its quarters after the race due to the fractious behaviour of his charge in the starting gates. The horse was subjected to veterinary examination. On examination, it was found to have sustained bruise over croup.

Their explanations were noted for future reference.

An enquiry is being held into the inconsistent pattern of running and the resultant improved performance of STONE HOUSE (Shreyas Singh), trained by Mr. M. Rajendra Singh, the winner of the above race as compared to its previous run in Race No.122, i.e., The Talkad Plate – Div. II, (about 1400 Metres, Horses rated 15 to 35, run on Saturday, 13th February, 2021 when ridden by Jockey Shamaz Shareef, it ran unplaced.
