Racing Incidents

dk b f JOANNA was examined by the Veterinary Officer at the starting gates and found to have sustained a bleeding cut injury on left fore.  Under the circumstances the filly was permitted to  be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders.

SPANISH CITY (Amyn Merchant) threw its head around on jumping out from the gates. Jockey Amyn Merchant has been advised to be more alert at the start in future and to give his mounts a little more rein at jump outs.
