Racing Incidents

LAFAYETTE (App. Gaurav Singh) was observed to be trotting lame on left hind, as such the colt has been permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds.
 
Explanation Jockey Nikhil Naidu (AYR) that his mount ran erratic in the process ducked in sharply at about the 1100 mtrs catching him unaware, resulting in him losing his balance and thereafter the colt maintained an erratic course inspite of his best efforts, as such he could not ride out his mount to complete advantage in the straight was noted. Trainer L.D' Silva was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race.
 
Explanation of App. C P Bopanna (DIVINE CONNECTION) that his mount was hanging in throughout the race as such he could not ride out his mount to complete advantage was not accepted and the App was fined Rs. 1000/- for failing to ride out his mount to complete advantage for greater part of the race.
