Racing Incidents

Jockey Chethan Gowda replaced the indisposed Jockey Nazerul Alam on LIGHT OF LOVE.

Jockey Akshay Kumar, the rider of IMPELLING POWER placed Second by the judge objected against Jockey S. A. Gray, the rider of CODE OF HONOUR placed First for "In the last 150 Metres, my horse was full of running, whereby the winner shifted out and bumped me badly and took me out repeatedly, which cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.

Jockey Akshay Kumar, the rider of IMPELLING POWER was fined Rs.3,000/-for not exercising sufficient control on his mount in the final 150 Metres under the use of whip.

Jockey S. A. Gray, the rider of CODE OF HONOUR was fined Rs.3,000/- for not exercising sufficient control on his mount in the final 150 Metres under the use of whip.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g CODE OF HONOUR.

Permission was granted to trainers M/s. Kishan Thomas, M. Rajendra Singh and S. Narredu to deputize on behalf of trainers M/s. Prasanna Kumar, Sharat Kumar and Rajesh Narredu who were unable to attend the races.
