Racing Incidents

Consequent to Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar having been not available to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey Md. Ismail to be substituted on QUALITY WARRIOR.
 
Jockey C P Bopanna (SWEET MELODY) was cautioned for travelling wide in the straight for no apparent reason.
 
Explanation of Jockey Akshay Kumar (INDIE) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, the gelding did not show any turn of foot in the straight inspite of his best efforts,. Trainer R H Sequeira while confirming the above added that he has fancied his horse based on the previous runs and opined that the gelding has ran to his potential was noted for future reference.
 
Explanation of Trainer S K Sunderji with regard to the improved performance of his charge NOLAN (R. Ajinkya) winner of this race that, this is the 3rd run of his charge and before this run the colt finished close 5th i.e. 2 1/2 lengths behind the winner, thereafter he has run the colt in this race after a gap of more than 50 days during which the colt has improved as such the improved performance was noted.
 
Jockey Kuldeep Singh (MIREYA) was cautioned to ride out his mount past the post in future.
