Racing Incidents

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr.Prasanna Kumar to withdraw NIKOLINA (Akshay Kumar) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore due to capped elbow. He was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Richard Oliver, the rider of ELECTRIC BLUE placed 2nd by the judge objected against Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of ASHWA MAGADHEERA placed 1st for "In the last 150 Metres my filly was full of running and gaining on the winner, when he shifted out and caused my filly to lose momentum which cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and afforded an opportunity to the concerned Jockeys to represent their case. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of ASHWA MAGADHEERA was fined Rs.5,000/- for persisting to use the whip with the right hand due to which his horse drifted out further and inconvenienced ELECTRIC BLUE (Richard Oliver) on his outside in the passing the 150 Metres.
