Permission was granted to Trainer Mr.V. Lokanath to withdraw BREEZE BLUSTER (Vivek.G) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore and swelling in pastern. He was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

THEWHISPERQUIETLY (Siddaraju.P) was subjected to veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

An enquiry was held on 31st December, 2022 by the Stipendiary Steward for the above race into the interference caused by Jockey Siddaraju.P, the rider of THEWHISPERQUIETLY in that:
“a) He failed to improve his position from 1000 Metres and he had not made any visible efforts, as he lacked vigour and enterprise in his riding till about 400 Metres;
b)    Thereafter, when he started urging his mount it responded very well to his urging and covered a lot of ground in the final 300 Metres;

c)    Had he made the same effort from the start of the race his mount would have finished much closer to the field.”

Jockey Siddaraju.P was interviewed by the Stipendiary Steward. The Stipendiary Steward after considering the submissions made by Jockey Siddaraju.P and after viewing the CCTV replay decided to charge Jockey Siddaraju.P for unsatisfactory Riding.

The Stipendiary Steward thereafter suspended the Jockey’s Licence granted to Siddaraju.P with effect from 3-2-2023 to 4-3-2023 (both days inclusive) as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Unsatisfactory Riding on his mount THEWHISPERQUIETLY (he was permitted to ride work) and was informed of his right to appeal.
