At the request of Trainer Himmat Singh, SPIRITUAL ROCK was examined in the stable area at 10:05 AM on 20/01/2023 and was found to be lame by right fore leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
Approaching the 1300 metres, TOOFAN (Amyn Merchant) leaned inwards thereby tightening TURECI (App. Mustakim Alam) causing the latter to check and drop back due to which GOLDIVA (A. Sandesh) had to be steadied. Thereafter passing the 300 metres, TOOFAN leaned inwards onto GIMME (Prashant P. Dhebe). After the race on questioning, Jockey Amyn Merchant has been severely reprimanded.
 
Jockey Vishal. N. Bunde (COME BACK PLEASE) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2022/23, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-
 
After the race, STUNNING VISUAL was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, CAMILLE was trotted and found to be sound.
