ALMAS, a habitual tardy starter, was slow to begin losing approximately 4 – 5 lengths at the start. DUBAI DUNES was slow to begin losing approximately 2- 3 lengths at the start.

Jockey Nikhil Naidu (ANGEL LIGHT) reported that his mount refused to raise a gallop in the initial stages of the race and was trailing the field till about the 500 metres, was noted. Tr. Sabeel Shariff was advised not to accept with his charge until it is capable of a better performance.

Jockey Mustakim Alam (YAWAR) reported that his mount was hanging in passing the 600 metres and he may have inconvenienced TESS on his outside in his effort to avoid interfering POWER RACER on the rails.

OROMELO was denied a clear run in the last 50 metres of the race.

Tr. Vikash Jaiswal and Jockey Sujit Kr Paswan when questioned regarding the running and riding of ALMAS, the trainer stated that he had instructed the Jockey to place his mount in a comfortable position wherever possible and to do his best. The Jockey was unable to give any plausible explanation for his riding in the final 400 metres of the race. Not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey Sujit Kr. Paswan, he was fined a sum of Rs. 50,000/- for the incompetent riding on his mount whereby he failed to put in adequate vigour in his finishing efforts in the last 400 metres of the race.
