Explanation of Jockey P. Ajeeth Kumar (D YES BOSS) that his mount jumped out awkwardly and thereafter the mare did not raise a fluent gallop inspite of his best efforts, noted. Trainer A. Vatsalya was advised for better performance in future.

Explanation of App. Md. Ekram Alam (SANTA BARBARA) in the presence of Trainer L D Silva that his instructions were to go to front which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for effort, the filly shortened her strides and dropped back in the final 75 mtrs inspite of his best efforts. Trainer L D Silva while confirming the above added that his charge was in front and blew up in the final stages of the race and the winner PONTEFRACT (Afroz Khan) which is also trained by him had an advantage of a run. The Trainer further stated that he had fancied all his runners in this race was noted for future reference. Subsequent Veterinary examination of SANTA BARBARA (App. Md. Ekram Alam) revealed that though the filly was trotting sound but had a sharp molars on both sides.  Trainer L D Silva was fined a sum of Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise greater care in presenting of his charge for a race.

PONTEFRACT (Afroz Khan) winner of the race is sampled.
