Racing Incidents

On the morning of Thursday, 29th August, 2024, DUBAI PRINCESS, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be suffering from painful neck swelling. Under the circumstances the filly was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Patrick Quinn was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

Jockey Hindu Singh (BANDUK WALI) was instructed to instil adequate vigour in his riding, in future. MENJOU’S MOUSTACHE was very fractious in its stall.

COLONEL SAAB, MATHANGI and ALEXA were slow to begin.

ALEXA ran green throughout the race and dropped back on entering the straight, finishing detached. Tr. Shafiq Khan was advised not to accept with his charge until it was capable of a better performance. AURUM dropped out of contention before entering the straight. Tr. Shyam S Habbu was informed not to accept with his charge until capable of a better performance.

The Veterinary Officer reported that MENJOU’S MOUSTACHE returned with a lower jaw cut injury.
