Racing Incidents

At the request of Jockey Yash Narredu (STAR IMPACT) his mount was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at the Starting gates and was found to be sore by left hind, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under the Starter’s order and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
At the start, MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (N. S. Parmar, dr.8) jumped outwards and had to be steadied.
 
Jockey Akshay Kumar (INQUILAB) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed on his mount. This being his 1st offence during the current Pune Meeing 2024, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
 
After the race, Jockey C. Umesh (PSYCHIC STAR) reported that he was held up for room in the straight until approaching the 200 metres.
 
The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the running and riding of PSYCHIC STAR (C. Umesh) and a report will be submitted shortly.
 
The Equine Hospital reported that CHANDRAYAAN had left eye injury (sore).
