On the arrival at the starting gate, at the request of Jockey K. Pranil, NORTHERN SINGER was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified the mare fit to race.

NORTHERN SINGER (K. Pranil, dr.5) was fractious after being stalled due to which its bit got displaced. The mare was taken out and the bit was adjusted and thereafter the mare was re-stalled. Further, the Sr. V.O. reported that the mare had a gum injury. Considering the mare’s behavior, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

ATTAINED (Vishal N. Bunde, dr.11) lost about three lengths at the start.

At the start, MAYSARA (R. Shelar, dr.1) jumped outwards thereby tightening DECACORN (N. S. Parmar, dr.2) who had to be steadied. Jockey R. Shelar has been cautioned.

After the race, Jockey K. Pranil (NORTHERN SINGER) reported that the saddle used on his mount shifted to the left during the race, due to which he could not ride out his mount to the full advantage. This being the first instance of faulty saddling during the current Pune Meeting 2024, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

After the race, NORTHERN SINGER & TRIGGER were trotted and found to be sound and GODDES OF DAWN was observed to have an injury on right nostril.

The Equine Hospital reported that ELOQUENT had left eye injury (sore), REDOUBLE had left eye injury (sore) with ulcer and MYSARA had left eye injury (sore).
