Explanation of Jockey Akshay Kumar (WHITE PEARL) that due to fast initial pace, he was unable to position his mount well up with the field in the initial stages of the race and in the straight he did his best was noted for future reference.
 
SUGAR (B R Kumar) winner of the race is sampled.

The Board of Directors/Stewards at their meeting held on 22/12/2024have resolved to suspend the” A” Trainer’s License granted to Trainer R H Sequeira under the HRC Rules of Racing with immediate effect i.e. from Monday, 23rdDecember 2024 upto and including Wednesday, 5th February 2025 both days inclusive and fined him a sum of Rs.30,000/-for positive findings of ETODOLAC & FLUNIXIN, CLASS III & CLASS IV DRUGS (prohibited substance) in the split  Urine Sample (B Sample) taken from his charge 3 year old  ch f “SUGAR”, thereby contravening the Medication Rules laid by the HRC under the HRC Rules of Racing and disqualified “SUGAR” the winner from the above race and ordered for revised placings.

a)    The Stewards further fined Trainer a sum of Rs.50,000/- for keeping in his possession (in the stables) medication, substance or preparation which has not been registered, prescribed, dispensed or obtained thereby contravening the Medication Rules laid down by the HRC under the HRC Rules of Racing.
