Racing Incidents

The Club's Veterinary Officer reported after the race that MALACCA (Darshan.N) had pulled up lame on Right fore during the race. Trainer Ramanathan R was asked to get his charge certified fit by the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting next with.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner KALYANI MUSLR (P.Vikram). 

The Stewards of Madras Race Club at their meeting held on 23* November 2024, considered the Analytical Report received (22.11.2024) from Quantilab, Mauritius, pertaining to the Analysis of the Urine Sample taken from B.M. 5 year old, KALYANI MUSLR (trained by G.S.Parmar), winner in Race No.61, which had shown the presence of Cobalt, a prohibited substance in the sample of the urine which was taken from the said horse, after the race it had won.

The Stewards also noted the following: -

(a) The Trainer was informed of this and was given the option of sending the split samples of the urine of the said horse for confirmatory analysis.

(b) The Trainer G.S.Parmar informed the Club that he would wish to send the split sample of the Urine of the horse to LCH, FRANCE for testing the confirmatory analysis at the Trainer's expenses.

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 16TH December 2024 considered the confirmatory test report of B.M. 5 year old, KALYANI MUSLR received from LCH, France dated (12.12.2024) confirming the presence of "COBALT" above the international threshold limit.

The Stewards of the Club then decided to disqualify the winner, B.M. S year old, KALYANI MUSLR from The Gold Finder Handicap run on 26.10.2024 and revised the order of placing as under: -

ABILITARE    - 1ST PLACED
BOHEMIAN STAR    - 2ND PLACED
REGENT PRINCE    - 3RD PLACED
SILVER SOUL    - 4TH PLACED

The Stewards authorised the Secretary to publish the above order and forward a copy of the same to Mr.G.S.Parmar.
