Racing Incidents

SHAI was extremely fractious at the gates, refused to be stalled in spite of repeated attempts, reared up and fell over. Under the circumstances the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. The Starting Stall Certificate has been revoked by the Starter. As the gelding has repeatedly been withdrawn at the starting gates and has not improved its gate habits over a period of an year, Tr. Sabeel Shariff has been advised to retire the gelding from racing.

BY THE BOOK was extremely difficult to load. Tr. Neil Darashah was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.
Jockey P Tejeshwar (EMPEROR ASHOKA) reported that his mount was hanging in from about the 600 metres of the race, was noted.

Jockey A Sandesh (MENJOU’S MOUSTACHE) reported that his mount which was travelling well within itself till about the final bend did not respond as desired and could only finish fourth, was noted.
