Jockey C.Umesh, the rider of SHE RULES reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.

Jockey Akshay Kumar, the rider of PERICLES reported that his mount raced fiercely between the 1100 Metres till about 800 Metres.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of IRON KING was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi and Jockey Akshay Kumar were questioned regarding running and riding of PERICLES in the above race. The trainer stated that:
a)    He had instructed the rider to ride his own race and do his best in the straight;
b)    His charge was running after a long gap of 7 months:
c)    It had a setback during the morning track work and suffered from Sesamoiditis and Ligament issues.

The Jockey while corroborating the statements of the trainer stated that his mount totally stopped galloping in the final 150 Metres (Their explanations were noted for future reference).PERICLES was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination, it was found to have burst its blood vessels (on endoscopy Grade - IV) and also bit sore on right commissure. Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
