Racing Incidents

KIKATA was slow to begin, losing approximately 4 – 5 lengths at the start. Tr. Dr. Anil Kumar was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial. WINTER STAR was difficult to load. Tr. Neil Darashah was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.

ANGEL LIGHT was slow to begin. SOUL MUSIC fly jumped out from the gates.

The saddle used on ELEOS slipped during the running of the race. Tr. Patrick Quinn was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/- for faulty saddling.

Jockey Arman Khan (ANGEL LIGHT) reported that his mount was lacking initial speed as such he was unable to keep up with field as instructed by his trainer as the pace was too fast, was noted. The Veterinary Officer reported that :-

a)    GEORGE EVEREST returned lame on left fore. Tr. Dr. Anil Kumar was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
b)    WINTER STAR returned with a gum injury.
