Jockey P. Mani, the rider of MULTIQUEEN was fined Rs.2,000/- for not making sufficient effort to improve his position from 1100 Metres till about 600 Metres.

It was observed that SIENNA PRINCESS (A.R.Pradeep) accidentally struck the front runner ROYAL WHISPER (Darshan R.N), whereby Jockey A.R.Pradeep (SIENNA PRINCESS) was momentarily unbalanced.

Jockey G. Praveen, the rider of REET PETITE was fined Rs.1,000/ - for shifting out and causing interference to MULTIQUEEN (P. Mani) on his outside passing the 200 Metres.

Jockey Chandrashekar M, the rider of SILICON STAR was fined Rs.3,000/ - for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Trainer Mr. Warren Singh and Jockey A.R. Pradeep were questioned regarding the running and riding of SIENNA PRINCESS.

The trainer stated that:

(a)    He had instructed the Jockey to take a good jump ride from 2nd or 3rd position and do his best in the straight;

(b)    As he passed the 1000 meters the horse struck the front runner and stumbled after that his horse was too keen, the jockey tried his best to settle the horse, and after entering the straight he gave his best.

(c)    He also added that this horse was operated for a fractured fetlock, the horse had recovered very well and did some very good workout.

(d)    As the horse had run in better company previously, he had fancied his charge to win the above race.

Jockey A.R. Pradeep confirmed the trainer’s instructions and added that despite his best efforts he could only finish 3rd.

Their explanations were noted for future reference.

An enquiry was held on 29th December, 2024 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race with respect to Jockey Chandrashekar.M pertaining to his riding on his mount SILICON STAR. “In that he has ridden his horse without any contact with the rein & bit whatsoever and every time he used the whip on the horse he was bouncing on the saddle thereby breaking the rhythm of the horse in the last 250 meters.

Jockey Chandrashekar.M was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Jockey Chandrashekar.M & Trainer Mr. Warren Singh and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey Chandrashekar.M for Incompetent Riding.

The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended the Jockey’s Licence granted to Jockey Chandrashekar.M for four (4) race days of BWM 2024-25 i.e., 10/01/2025, 18/01/2025, 25/01/2025 and 26/01/2025 as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Incompetent Riding on his mount SILICON STAR (he was permitted to ride work) and was informed of his right to appeal.

ROYAL WHISPER (Darshan R.N) sustained clip injury on the right hind fetlock and superficial injury on left hind canon.

SIENNA PRINCESS (A.R.Pradeep) was impounded for veterinary examination no abnormality was reported.
