Racing Incidents

OISHIKA (P S Kaviraj) was fractious on its way to the start, dislodged the rider and ran the course riderless. Under the circumstances the filly was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. Adhiraj Singh Jodha has been advised to school his charge better.

MADRAS CHEQUE arrived late to the start thereby delaying the proceedings of the race. As Tr. Patrick Quinn had earlier been warned and fined for late arrival of his charges, he has now been fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/-.

Jockey R Manish (TORTILLA CHIP) reported that his mount was leaning inside the stall on its left and brushed against the gates as the start was effected.
DUBAI PRINCE was slow to begin.

MATHANGI which was slow to begin, was hanging in during the final stages of the race.

On jumping out from the gates JEAN LAFETTE threw its head high unbalancing the rider and lost approximately 4 – 5 lengths at the start.

The Veterinary Officer reported that :-

a)    MATHANGI returned without right fore shoe.

b)    TORTILLA CHIP returned with a cut injury on its left fore arm.
