GOOD DEEDS drifted out under pressure in the final stages of the race.

OROMELO and ARETHA finished the race detached from the field. The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine the mares and submit his report.

Tr. Rajesh Narredu when questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge GOOD DEEDS as compared to its previous outing in Race No. 59 – THE XISCA HANDICAP run on 26th December, 2024, stated that :-

1.    “I have taken over Good Deeds from Trainer Dallas Todywalla a few months ago and I have been getting to know about her likes and dislikes and running style with every run.
2.    After her last run, I was given the feedback by Jockey Suraj Narredu to try her over a long trip as she does not show a turn of foot in the final part of the race making it difficult to finish strongly in shorter races.
3.    The owners agreed to the suggestion of running her over a long trip and hoping she would run better otherwise she would be retired to stud.
4.    She has been doing long distance work outs every morning and the work riders were happy with the way she was handling the workouts.
5.    We decided to take off the blinkers which she always ran with, after trying it out in morning work and she was tracking well.
6.    In my opinion jockey Vaibhav rode a smart race dictating the pace and we were lucky to hold on to win the race and hope she carries on with her performance and we would like to campaign her over
longer trips”.

The Stipendiary Stewards accepted his explanations.
