Racing Incidents

Consequent to Jockey Mukesh Kumar having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards of the Club permitted Jockey Kuldeep Singh (Sr) to be substituted on STRAUSS.
 
Explanation of Jockey Akshay Kumar (DECOY) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners but due to fast initial pace he was forced to use his mount to sit well up with the field in the initial stages of the race and in the straight his mount did not show any turn of foot inspite of his best efforts. Trainer D. Netto while confirming the above added that his charge cherished running in longer distance as compare to the present race which being 6 furlong, his charge could not match strides with pace of front runners and the Jockey in order to follow the instructions, brushed his charge in the initial stages of the race resulting in his charge dropping back in the final stages of the race was not accepted and the Trainer was severely cautioned to ensure that his charges race more consistently in future.
 
DECOY (Akshay Kumar) placed 5th in the race is sampled.
