AMADEUS jumped out hesitantly from the gates and was slow into its stride by 3 – 4 lengths. The gelding trailed the field thereafter. Tr. Rutherford Alford was advised not to accept with his charge until it was capable of a better performance. Tr. Sabeel Shariff and Jockey Vishal N Bunde when questioned regarding the running and riding of LAHINA, the Trainer stated he had instructed the Jockey to place his mount in 2nd/3rd position and to do his best. The Jockey while corroborating the Trainer’s instructions, stated that he could not place his mount in 2nd/3rd position as instructed as the mare was lacking initial speed to keep up with the field. However, she finished on. Their explanations were noted. The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine GREEN PASTURES and submit his report. On examination on the morning of 8th March, 2025 the mare was found to be lame on right hind. Tr. Rutherford Alford was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer. |
