Racing Incidents

Jockey C Umesh, the rider of CONSTANT VARIABLE was called and questioned after the race, he informed that his instructions were give the gelding a chance and try keep him close to the rails .When the race replay was shown ,he stated that the gelding was trying to go out.

Trainer Fahad Khan was called and asked for Jockey C.Umesh's ride he stated that since jockey had ridden the gelding and knows the horse, he asked him not to chase and asked him to tuck him and ride out. The gelding has a soft mouth. When asked whether he was satisfied with the jockeys ride he said he was satisfied ,he also stated that his gelding was running with a good set of horses in this race and not seen the class.

After viewing the race replay where Jockey C Umesh, did not take the gap on his inside in the last 300 metres and as per his instructions he was asked to keep close to rails why he did not do so, The Jockey did not have a plausible answer. The Enquiry has been kept open for future reference. Trainer Fahad Khan and Jockey C Umesh, were asked to leave.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner CROWN DRIVE (P.Sai Kumar).
