Racing Incidents

CHANDRAYAAN (Neeraj Rawal, dr.2) jumped out slowly thereby losing about a length at the start.

Approaching the 400 metres, EXOTIC STAR (S. Mosin) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening THE FLUTIST (T. S. Jodha) along the rails. Jockey S. Mosin has been severely reprimanded.

Passing the 300 metres, MAJOR SAAB (Amyn Merchant) weakened and dropped back due to which THE FLUTIST (T. S. Jodha) racing on its haunches was held up for room, had to check and change course.

Jockey Amyn Merchant (MAJOR SAAB) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his 2nd offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, he has been fined Rs.5,000/-.

After the race, TOOFAAN was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. The gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, CHANDRAYAAN was trotted and found to be sound.
