On arrival at the starting gate, CHARLIE was examined by the Clubs Sr. V.O and was found to be sore by left fore and was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starters order and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
EL GRECO (Neeraj Rawal, dr.2) jumped out slowly thereby losing about a length at the start.
An objection was lodged by Jockey Yash Narredu rider of A STAR IS BORN placed third by the judge against Jockey P. Trevor rider of SEIGE COURAGEOUS placed first by the judge, reason being “coming into the 400 metres the winner had leaned onto him and tightened after that approaching the 300 metres had bumped and pushed him behind the horse in front taking his ground where he had to stop riding for at least 50 metres which cost him a certain race”, the Stewards having heard both the Jockeys and having watched the race on the CCTV cameras in conjunction with the Stipendiary Steward and acting on their own observations decided to overrule the objection and termed it as an accidental interference, placing remain unaltered as declared by the Judge.
It was observed that Jockey P. Trevor (SIEGE COURAGEOUS) had used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. After the race, Jockey P. Trevor reported that his mount hung-in the straight, despite his efforts as the same was borne out from the video of the race as such no action has been initiated against the Jockey. However, Trainer Prasanna Kumar has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race
After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (MOJITO) reported that he was held up for room until passing the 400 metres. Further, he stated that his mount was inclined out in the straight, despite his efforts. As such, Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
It was observed that Jockey David Allan (ONCE YOU GO BLACK) had used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
